Role Description

We’re seeking a Social media & Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team! This position is ideal for a student currently studying social media, marketing or a related field, eager to gain hands-on experience while applying their creativity and tech skills. If you’re someone who thinks outside the box, enjoys building brands and loves crafting engaging social content, this is your chance to shine. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design and post creative content across social media platforms 
  • Monitor social media engagement, including traffic, reach and user interactions and report on key insights 
  • Respond promptly and professionally to comments and inquiries on social media posts 
  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns aligned with our marketing goals 
  • Collaborate with the team to bring fresh ideas to drive engagement and brand awareness 
  • Use Canva to create visually appealing graphics; basic knowledge of WordPress is beneficial but not required 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Social Media, Marketing or related course 
  • Tech-savvy with strong digital literacy and social media understanding 
  • Street-smart with a strategic, creative approach to content creation 
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment 
  • Basic understanding of Canva; familiarity with WordPress is a plus but not mandatory 

Portfolio Requirements

Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating their creative and branding abilities. This portfolio should include: 

  • A fictional business concept (product or service of choice) 
  • Brand identity for the fictional business, including logo, colour scheme and overall style 
  • Social media posts for the fictional business, including captions and hashtags 

The portfolio should reflect your style, creativity and ability to build a cohesive brand from scratch.
